Give Docs: Configuring Give Settings

Give’s Settings page controls the global configuration of how your forms interact with Gateways, send emails, and sets the defaults for the display of your forms.

The Settings page contains the most amount of configurations and options of anywhere else on the site. The purpose of these settings is that you can put some time into setting it up at the very beginning and then never need to look at this section again.

The Settings page is organized according to the following tabs:

General — These settings fields allow you to set the pages donors are redirected to after successful donations, failed donations, or their Donation History page. This page also deals with your country and currency settings.

Payment Gateways — Here you can enable “Test Mode”. This tab also allows you to enable and configure your Payment Gateways.

Display Options — This tab allows you to disable the Give CSS, the Single Form View, the Form Archive’s, and to Enable/Disable Categories and Tags.

Emails — This tab allows you to customize the text of the emails that are sent automatically when donations are made. This includes

Advanced — This tab includes advanced settings intended primarily for developers. These settings control how donors access their information, how data is managed if you delete the Give plugin, disabling the “the_content()” filter on Give single form pages, and moving all Give scripts to the footer. Use these settings with caution and only if you know exactly what to expect and how to reverse it.

API — this tab displays all current API keys that have been generated. It is also the place that you can generate new API keys for users (if you have the capability enabled for your user account).

System Info — This tab outputs relevant information about your WordPress install, your server environment, and settings and Add-ons related to Give. Occasionally, we might ask for this information in our Support forum.
